Sustainable Care Home Design – Lincoln

Overview

Deseco collaborated with Torsion Care Group to design a 73-bedroom care home in Lincoln, achieving an EPC A+ rating and meeting the client’s zero gas requirement. The project focused on integrating renewable energy technologies and advanced systems to create a sustainable, efficient, and functional environment for residents and staff.

The design included a complete MEP system alongside specialised features such as heat pumps, ventilation, air conditioning, and heat recovery units. Safety and accessibility were prioritised through the implementation of fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and nurse call systems, while security and connectivity were enhanced with CCTV, door access control, and data infrastructure. Future-proof elements, including EV charging stations, were also incorporated.

This project showcases Deseco’s ability to deliver innovative, sustainable design solutions that balance energy efficiency with functionality and regulatory compliance.
